Cuisine in Poland and Lithuania
Discover the traditional cuisine of Poland and Lithuania
The cuisine in this part of the world is hearty and filling as the main ingredients are potatoes,
cabbage, beetroot and meat. This cuisine has been influenced over the years by various cultures such
as Jewish, Hungarian, Ukrainian, Russian, Turkish and German.
Polish cuisine proposes some famous national dishes as rosol z kury (traditional chicken broth), flaki (tripe stew with marjoram), sztuka miesa (meat dish, similar to French
ragout), kaczka z jablkami (roast duck with apples) as well as some regional dishes like kawior po
zydowsku ("Jewish caviar" - chopped calf or poultry liver with garlic) in Warsaw and kwasnica (meat
and sauerkraut stew) in the Tatra Mountains.
We will enjoy to make you discover all this typical cuisine during your tour in Poland and
Lithuania. And your private driver-guide will always inform you about the curiosities and
specialities. Thanks to the small size of the group you will be able to taste a fine cuisine in some
authentic restaurants.
